This is my fourth Christmas abroad since leaving Canada in 2022. I never imagined I would be travelling this long. The journey has been everything I had hoped and more. Today I am wishing you a Happy Christmas 2025 and hoping your day is filled with joy and cheer.
Solo Travel
Almost all of my full-time travel has been solitary and that is my jam. The sense of freedom, quiet and peace is exactly what I need at this point in my life. I have always had an open invitation however, for family to join me where ever I may be in the world.
So far, two of my three children have met me in different parts of the globe and the third, well I have returned to Canada this past summer, to see his lovely soul. This Christmas, I am not alone however. I have a family member with me. My sister. She has flown across the world to spend time together.
Christmas Day
Our day today will be a quiet one. Perhaps a long walk if I get my way. 😂 Then succumbing to all things delicious, food and drinks galore. Holiday music and definitely a Christmas movie to be watched while munching bonbons.
My Wish
For this Christmas 2025, my wish is the same as always. For my three amazing children and their partners to be healthy, at peace and content with themselves. To be kind to each other, look out for one another and know they are loved beyond a shadow of any doubt.
For everyone else, my wish is joy, unadulterated, childish joy.
