Always on the lookout for a good market, I have found one in Bali that is a complete vibe. While I have certainly struggled to find an authentic local market, there have been numerous tourist ones. This one tops the cake though, the Sunday market at La Brisa Bali is fantastic!

The Sunday Market at La Brisa Bali is Fantastic!
Market at La Brisa Bali

Getting There

Located at the La Brisa Bali beach club, this market is easy to find using google maps. I’ll put a link here. Basically, walk towards the water, the market will be on the right-hand side of the street and is located inside this very popular club.

Opening times are 8am to 4pm every Sunday. I arrived a few minutes before 10am and there were already about 200 people in line. 😂

Aesthetic

There is a singular aesthetic here and it is very popular at the moment with the younger Bali tourist crowd. You will see what I mean when you start viewing the photographs below.

Its super pretty, soft, organic and clean. Most products here were earthy, made of pure ingredients, simple and just plain beautiful.

Clothing

Lots of it and many vendors were quite reasonably priced. So many local branded t-shirts, cotton button up shirts for both men and women, and many linens and linen-esque fabric dresses, skirts and shorts. A bikini is a definite option to purchase here, there are many sellers so take your pick. 👙

Jewellery

By far the most popular place was the stand selling the permanent bracelets. There was a line as soon as the market opened. So many others had beautiful gold and silver pieces on display, most of the gold was plated.

Food

At the centre, visitors will find a large covered area surrounded by tables to eat your treats at. Food ranges from fresh vegetables, lots of juices, to cooked delicious meals and of course treats.

Dessert

The butter chicken looked amazing as did the chicken satay and other Balinese goodies. How about a glass of chilled wine and a slice of decadent cake?

Other

From candles to crystals and everything in between, there is no shortage of merchandise here. Sprays, potions, incense, purses, pottery, the list goes on.

Because it was so crowded, it was not easy to see everything at a leisurely pace and with space. Both times I visited were right at opening, so I don’t know if this market will get busier as the day progresses, or quiet down. One thing is for sure, it is a delight for all the senses and you are certain to find a treasure.
