Readers will know how much I love flowers and the joy they bring me. Everywhere I travel, I will undoubtedly write a post, just to showcase the flora of the region. Busan has been no exception. I have been amazed by the blossoms surrounding me here. The beautiful array of flowers in Busan Korea is truly special.
Hydrangeas
These were once my very favourite flower. The massive bloom heads and truly vibrant colours are hard to not be impressed by. It has been a very long time since I have seen so many hydrangeas in bloom, possibly even never as many as I have seen here. Have a look at these gorgeous flowers and let their beauty wash over you. Hydrangea are the single most abundant flower I see in Busan right now.
Reds
So bright and always demanding my attention are red flowers. It is a colour I rarely if ever wear or use in décor, but one of my most cherished colours none-the-less. Here are the red flowers I have found in Busan and such beauties they are.
Yellow & Orange
I’m not a huge fan of yellow or orange flowers to be honest. When I was an avid gardener, I would probably choose every colour before I would pick this colour of flower to have in a garden. But these bright sunflowers, buttery yarrow and lilies just scream summer time!
The abundance of yellows & oranges here in Busan has been delightful though. I think my mindset is changing, especially for those soft pale yellows that are so delicate and sweet.
Pink & Purple
Always a great colour in any garden are the pinks and purples. There is a surprisingly large representation of these colours here. Country cosmos, vivid geranium and those beautiful lotus will always be a favourite of mine. Reds and yellows dominate in Busan but the pinks and purples are holding strong.
White
I’m a sucker for a white flower, their purity and peacefulness is always so gentle. Of course, the brighter colours will always draw my eye balls first, but the whites offer a unique sense of tranquility that I crave.
It is difficult to find white flowers in abundance. They are not a dominant colour and the whites are generally less prolific on any plant than a stronger colour of the same variety.
The municipality of Busan does a terrific job of beautifying this city. I noticed almost immediately and continue to each day. There are city flower beds, planters and decorative features everywhere. Businesses will place pots of flowers and plants at their front doors. The amount of park land and green space is truly astounding, and all of it contains beautiful, gorgeous and happy flowers.
