One of my favourite things about Puerto Vallarta is the Malecon boardwalk. This beautiful walkway stretches from the Hotel Rosita to just past the Pier at Playa Los Muertos. Starting at the hotel, are a number of amazing sculptures on the Malecon that perfectly showcase the talent in this vibrant city. The Malecon in Puerto …
One of the reasons I love Mexico is the uninhibited use of bright vivid colours everywhere you look. It makes the environment feel lively and jovial and just so darn happy. The amazing murals all around Puerto Vallarta are one of the aspects adding to this city’s beauty. I never tire of walking around and …
I love shopping for food. Period. Whether its from a market, corner store, road side stand, or large grocery supermarket. Everywhere I travel, I always, without fail, visit at least one large grocery store. La Comer in Fluvial, the best grocery in town, is one such large store, not to be missed when visiting Puerto …
The day after I had the unfortunate attempted mugging, I really needed some love. There is a small island in the middle of the Rio Cuale (river Cuale). At the far end, is a park. To get my much needed love session, I decided that playing with cats in the Cuale Island park would be …
We all know how much I love markets. There are no shortage of them in Mexico. If I wanted, I would be able to visit a different one every day of the week! The Three Hens & A Rooster market at the Rio Cuale in Puerto Vallarta takes place on Saturdays through high season. If …
I have been visiting Puerto Vallarta for the last five years. Each time I’m in the city, I take a long stroll out to the Marina. When there, I usually see one of the crocs in the water. However at the Thursday Market this past week, I saw 2 massive crocodiles at the Marina! It …
We all know by now how much I adore markets! I will always try and visit one where ever I travel and usually more than once. š Puerto Vallarta has several markets, one is the Thursday Night Market in the Marina. The marina market has many of the same vendors as the Lazaro Cardenas Saturday …

Today I walked on the beach all morning in the hotel zone of Puerto Vallarta. I covered a large area, from Playa Tranquila at the most southern end to Playa do Oro just shy of the Maritime cruise ship terminal. This first post will show photo’s of Playa Tranquila & Las Glorias in PV. Keep …
For my daily long walk today, I went and explored two new to me neighbourhoods of Puerto Vallarta. I have wanted to check out the Versalles & Diaz Ordaz hoods of PV for quite a while and today was the perfect time! Firstly the correct spelling is Versalles even though many places use the French …
I went on a long walk this morning and a scary thing happened to me today. Iām okay, but it was unnerving. I was hesitant to post this. Everyone always wants their life to look glamorous and fun, especially while travelling. But life when you travel is just like life at home. Some days are …
Yesterday I wrote a post about this outdoor market and what I found for sale that was unrelated to anything edible. Today I must continue writing about the Tianguis Libramiento, the amazing food and produce that I saw and purchased. I went to this market with the intention of purchasing the produce that I needed …
I’m back in Puerto Vallarta!! From the moment my driver dropped me off, I have felt almost giddy, I’m back in my happy place. š I am staying in a new to me neighbourhood, not in the tourist area. So far, I can tell you I love it! Today I went to the Tianguis Libramiento …
I took the bus from Sayulita to San Pancho for a day trip. Wow, I was absolutely impressed by this little town. San Pancho, a big slice of paradise that I had been looking for, and have now found. The main bus stop in Sayulita is on Av Revolucion. Inside is a ticket booth where …
Yesterday I wrote a post about the 5 things I loved about Sayulita. Today I write about the top 5 reasons why I didn’t like Sayulita. Believe me, I don’t relish this post. I have never disliked a place enough to write a post, however there are big issues with Sayulita, for me. Issues large …
I have been in Sayulita for three weeks now. After spending considerable time in all of the neighbourhoods, I feel I have a good handle on the town. The 5 things I loved the best about Sayulita are the following. Hands down, this is the best thing about Sayulita for me. Walking South beach in …
How can I not make a post about the most elemental part of Sayulita? The biggest reason visitors used to flock to this little town was for surfing. Walking around the streets, visible signs of the surfing vibe are everywhere. I have compiled a post of my best photo’s of a surfing town. Besides actually …
Every town and city I have travelled to in Mexico has an abundance of extraordinary murals painted in all parts of town, the tourist areas and the residential areas. Sayulita I have to say is the odd ball here. There are murals, but they are few and far between. Let’s have a look at Sayulita’s …
I have written posts about the other three main neighbourhoods in Sayulita being North End, South End and Gringo Hill. But I haven’t yet dedicated a post showcasing the area where most visitors will be spending their time. Downtown Sayulita is bursting with Life! Downtown is where the action is, restaurants are and definitely is …
Most tourists who visit this little surfing town will rent a scooter or more likely a golf cart to get around town. Especially if they are staying outside the downtown core. However the North American immigrants who reside here, have some pretty rad vehicles. VW bugs & buses, the best rides in Sayulita that match …
