I have experienced such a mixed bag of weather since my arrival into the city. The first few days were met with freezing temperatures, and in fact a risk of snow one night. I quickly scurried out to find a few warmer pieces of clothing to wear. ๐Ÿ˜‚ But the forecast has changed, and I find myself surrounded by beautiful spring flowers in Osaka Japan. As per uge, none of these photo’s has been enhanced in any way. What I see is what you see.

Plum Trees

The early plums are putting on a show around town. I just love these, as much as the cherry blossoms to be honest. The varieties range from vivid pink multi-petal blossoms to delicate almost white ones. The most I have seen are the group of trees in the โ€˜Plum Groveโ€™ inside the Osaka Castle Park grounds. Look how gorgeous these are!

Hyacinth, Daffs and Tulips

These gorgeous bulb growers are absolutely putting on a show right now. As I walk down the neighbourhood streets, I see little planters and pots filled with their bright flowers and fragrant scent. You best believe I stop at just about every one and admire its beauty.

Pansies

This is one flower that I adore. They have such a cheery demeanour, and huge array of colour combinations. Just when you think you have seen them all, another variety will find its way into your life and you will marvel at its stunning beauty.

From the simplest uni-colour small blossom to the largest frilly fiend, they are all equally mesmerizing and gorgeous.

Camellias

Never have I seen so many or such a variety of camellias before! Some of these plants are humongous bushes, almost tree like, with large vivid blossoms. To see the ground around a plant is to witness a bed of petals, for these seem to be continually dropping onto the carpet below.

So Much More

From irises, to magnolias and just about everything spring like in-between, there are blooms to be seen all over the city. I must say, Osaka, its businesses and residents seem to love flowers, nature and all things beauty.

The municipality appears to go out of its way to provide lots of green space, garden beds with proper maintenance and care. Businesses will adorn their storefronts with blooms in every shade, enticing the likes of me inside. ๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŒธ And the residences that I can find, even if itโ€™s a small balcony, seem to have something living or growing and attended to with such care.

I am so lucky to be visiting Osaka in the spring time. Yes, of course I came to see the magnificent cherry blossoms, but what I have found in addition has made my days full of joy. Flowers surround me everywhere here, especially now that the days are a little warmer and sometimes even sunny!
